Tommy Guerrero has just released his newest full-length album titled, “From the Soil to the Soul” on Quannum Projects and not surprisingly, it’s packed with some serious foot tappin’ and soulful jams. While many of these tracks aren’t exactly what you’d play during a heavy skate session, they’re perfectly ripe for those long drives on the road, workin’ at your computer, or just chillin’ with your homies or significant other. Instrumental cuts such as The Under Dog, Badder Than Bullets, War No More, and No Guns More Glory deliver heavy grooves and beats at just the right temperature. The ender, Molotov Telegram flips the mix and hits with a punch and crunch of synthesized rock.
Illustrated with cover art by street bred contemporary artist Barry McGee, TG’s new studio effort resonates with a rich collaboration of creative artists which includes Lyrics Born, Curumin, Bing Ji Ling, and others in close synergy to TGs groove. Grab a copy and soothe your very own soul.
