IPATH 1985 Shoes

I’ll state this right up front…I don’t wear leather shoes. I just don’t. That being said, I have to admit that I’ve been partial to IPath shoes lately as they have been cranking out some quality synthetic shoes for a while now.

After almost wearing the sole’s out of my Grasshoppers, I picked up a pair of black 1985’s. My guess is that they choose that name because the shoes have a bit of retro style to them.

IPath isn’t about puffy tongues and thick soles, and that’s a good thing. The tongue is certainly comfy, but not pillow huge. It’s the soles that really sell a skate shoe for me. These feel super thin, but are completely durable. I can actually feel my board under my feet. No complaints about the synthetic uppers either. They’ve taken some serious abuse, and I have more than a few broken laces to show for it.

In a huge skate shoe market, IPaths seem to have finally found their way. And their shoes seem to keep getting better and better.
