Skateboarder, writer, and now film director Alex Klein recently sat down with Mark Whiteley from Slap magazine for an interview. Alex has been in the skate industry for quite some time, and if you’ve been paying attention, you’re sure to have either seen action photos of him or read one of the articles he’s written.
Alex is making the transition from sponsored skateboarder to film director and he’s currently working on God Went Surfing With The Devil, a documentary about the day-to-day lives of typical surfers in the Gaza Strip. As odd as that may sound, yes, you’ve read that correctly. Even in a politically volatile territory like the Gaza Strip, people are willing to risk their lives for the pure love of riding their board.
Definitely a great read, and quite the project for any up-and-coming film director.
