Ultimate Boarder Results
The 1st annual Ultimate Boarder event that has taken it to the mountains, the ocean and a mini ramp has wrapped up with this afternoon’s skateboarding portion of the competition in Ventura, CA. Bellevue Skate Plaza Readies for Grand Opening
Bellevue’s new Highland skate plaza is set to host its official grand opening on May 16th with a Best Trick contest and a skate demo and autographs with the Nike SB team. If you live in the greater Seattle area this is an afternoon of skating and good times that you shouldn’t miss.

Berra Mumbles for 15 Minutes
Head on over to Mumble and sit down and listen in on episode #6 with Steve Berra. The former soccer prodigy recounts his influences with fellow Nebraskan skater Kevin Wilkins, video games, the state of skateboarding, TV shows, stealing and The Berrics.

Info and Upcoming Events
The creepy crew at Creature has recently posted up its new online portal to harbor product info, video, team and news related info. Have a look.
The Underskatement film festival returns to the the SF Bay Area this Friday for a showing in downtown San Jose.
Due to showers in the forecast, the previously planned King of Spring best trick contest in New York will take place this Saturday, April 19th.
Deluxe and Metro board shop are putting together a skate demo at the Martinez skatepark next Saturday, April 26th and it looks to be a heated one with a line up of heavy guns young and old. Don’t miss it!
On May 31st, Swell Skatepark, one of the oldest skateparks in Brazil, will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a special old school contest in the brand new pool of the park. Check the park’s official site for photos, video clips and related info.
TWS is prepping for its 10th annual Awards show and the premier of its new skate film And Now featuring hot shot ams Sean Malto, Matt Miller, Kenny Hoyle, David Gravette, Richie Jackson and Nick Trapasso. The celebrated event takes place on Friday, June 13th.

Sheckler On The Mega Ramp

420 Celebrations
This coming Sunday, April 20th the Satori Movement and Culture Skate shop will be holding a celebration and competition of sorts at San Francisco’s renowned 3 up 3 down with a cash prize of $420 for the overall best line. Open to pros, ams and unknowns with the skills, just show up at 2pm to get entered in the contest. It’s a jam session for 45 minutes or until the cops come to shut it down. Some heavy hitters are expected and Fuel TV and other media outlets are expected to cover the event.
Also on 4-20, the second stop of Sun Diego’s Shredillac Tour with members of the C1RCA team will be at its Escondido store for a skate demo and signing posters, boards and of all sorts of things flesh colored. But that’s not all! C1RCA is giving away a grip of free goods including a chance to win 50 pairs of C1RCA shoes! The event pops off at 3pm. Be there.
If you find yourself lurking in Tampa on Sunday be sure to stop by the Bro Bowl where the SPoT dudes are holding an impromptu 420 skate bash. A twenty minute jam kicks off at 4pm and lasts until 4:20 pm with a $420 prize purse. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Benny Gold At SF Gate
If you don’t know the name Benny Gold, you’ve certainly seen his design work. He’s the man behind the look of almost everything HUF and has also worked on projects for Nike, REAL, Roughneck Hardware, Transworld and many others. Gold recent spoke to SFGate about his work and inspiration and it’s not surprising that skating topped the list. Check out the story and watch the two videos.
