Slaughtering Oz
The stage is set for Globe and Thrasher Magazine’s Slaughter at the Opera event at the Sydney Opera House. Many of the world’s best are down under to get busy on a back-to-back 7 stair to 11 stair handrail jam. It all goes down on March 1st for a purse of fifty big ones.
Watch Live on the web as Brain Schaefer and Jake Phelps stir things up and the competition gets heated and defeated. If you’re in the US, log on tomorrow Friday, February 29th at 7pm (PST)!

The Skate Study House
We’re suckers for good design so we were stoked to run across the Skate Study House website. This company, co-founded by Sole Tech CEO and freestyle skater Pierre Andre, recreates popular design focused furniture with a focus on skateboarding. Pretty solid idea. Now, how can we get a God Father Lounge Chair to review on the site? Maybe the Stax? Pretty please?

Nike Zoom Tre A.D. vs. Vulcanized
Say what you want about Nike (SB), they’ve got a whole lot of technology on their side. Check out this video featuring their head designer comparing their “free technology” sole to a vulcanized sole. With simple vulcanized shoes leading the market, it will be interesting to see if technology will make a difference in sales. The shoe hits stores in March.
