Posted by ChrisPat Duffy has signed an endorsement deal with Macbeth footwear, founded in 2002 by Tom Delonge of Angels Airwaves, formerly of Blink-182. From the press release:
Macbeth is proud to announce that they have joined forces with professional skateboarder Pat Duffy to stake their claim in the skateboarding community. The Marin County born skateboarder joins Macbeth while skating for the world-renowned Plan B skateboard team. Duffy’s lifestyle is a great representation of the Macbeth culture because his love for skateboarding and playing the guitar aligns him with the brands rich history rooted in the music that has fueled a generation of skateboarders in Southern California. “Pat Duffy represents so much authenticity in the sport of skateboarding and we are very excited and honored to work with such a legend,” says Marketing Director Rick DeVoe.
Plans are in the works for a signature shoe designed by Duffy and the Macbeth design crew that will converge classic skate design with Macbeth’s signature low profile silhouettes. Visit the Macbeth site for more info.

Posted by ChrisWe ran across this mini-interview with original Z Boys skater and legend Jay Adams over at Fuel. Jay is currently serving time at a Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. Sounds like he’s given his life over to a higher power. Good luck and we look forward to seeing you on the board soon.
48 Blocks has posted a solid interview and (EMB) video with SF/LA legend Mike Carroll. Lots to take in, so get over there and read up.

Here we go again. Watch as an excitable cop exits his golf cart, yells insults then throws a 14 year old skater to the ground. We weren’t aware that saying ‘Dude’ was against the law in Baltimore. Right now Officer Salvatore Rivieri is suspended with pay.
A spokesman for the Baltimore Police Department and the mayor’s office, said authorities have begun an internal-affairs investigation.”The entire incident raised red flags for all of the members of the command staff who watched the video,” Clifford said.
Let’s keep this civil and say we hope this guy isn’t given the chance to interact with kids, skaters or not, ever again.
Posted by ChrisEdited video clips from last month’s Tim O’Connor Roast are linked up over at 411VM’s site. Unfortunately, due to problems with the podium’s microphone, many of Rob Brink’s humorous jabs and jokes were not audible for the final edits. However, he has posted his full-length roast script on his site. Mr. Brink fully entertained and came prepared to deliver verbal jabs at everyone all in the sake of good fun.

Posted by bkA new week is upon us and new developments with skate teams are at the top of the headlines. This double-dose arrangement has been in play for close to six months, but today it was officially announced that Mikey Taylor and Sean Malto are super-hyped to be welcomed and traveling together as teammates on etnies’ roster. Not done yet, Ryan Sheckler has just picked up another new sponsor with FKD bearings. Under the wing of his new boss, Justin Figueroa has bounced from the Birdhouse camp to hit new ground with the Baker crew. Brother to Darkstar’s hot shot Ryan, Vancouver’s Scott Decenzo is the first am to be accepted into the Plan B family. Think is hyped to announce that they’ve acquired Florida’s Mike Espinosa as their newest am. A quick look see at the newly re-designed Bones wheels site affirms that James Craig has been dropped from the pro team.
TWS is currently in full-swing with filming and production of its new video titled “The Now” featuring David Gravette, Kenny Hoyle, Matt Miller, Richie Jackson, Nick Trapasso, and Sean Malto. Look for it to drop this summer.
Posted by bkIt’s been in the making for quite some time now, but the final edits and renderings are being made to Cliche’s Deja Vu video which will be released for early Spring.
This video effort is a collective project where the Cliche’ team’s best footage from the last four videos (Europa, Bon Appetit, Freedom Fries and Hello Jojo) has been provided to a special guest editor and remixed for each team rider. This sounds brilliant and we can wait to see it.
The featured parts are:
Lucas Puig edited by Ty Evans

Javier Mendizabal edited by Mike Manzoori
Andrew Brophy edited by Dan Magee
