News and rumors about this heavy and unfortunate incident have been spreading all over the web for the past few hours. Sources close to us confirm that Stereo pro Danny Renaud has indeed miraculously survived a nine story fall from a building yesterday. He’s out of surgery with two broken legs, a punctured lung and ruptured a kidney. Danny’s VERY lucky to be alive.
Our positive thoughts towards a full recovery go out to Danny and his family.

Next week the festival moves west and burns onto the screen on Wednesday, January 16th at The Lucky Devil in Tempe, AZ (Sorry kids…21+) and Thursday, January 17th at The Loft Cinema in Tucson, AZ. Be there!
Posted by bkThe migration down to Florida has begun. Starting tomorrow, Volcom’s Reptilian Ramp Rumble (pro and am mini ramp jam) kicks off at the Surf Expo in Orlando. Check the action as packs of sponsored ams and mini ramp champ professionals will be in the mix on Friday and Saturday to shred and grab a piece of the $35,000 purse.
A few days later and a short drive away, Tampa Am 2008 will begin on Thursday, January 17th with an all day open practice session, a riders meeting and the “All in the Family” art, photo show with SPoT memorabilia from 1993-1998.
If you’re not out doing some skating of your own, be sure to log onto 411VM.com as they’ll be handling a live webcast for both of these competitions right here.
Then, on Saturday, January 26th Matix presents its invitational $16,000 “Lord of the Lines” competition at the ASR trade show in San Diego, CA where one line rules them all.
We’ve been reporting on Gus Van Sant’s upcoming film, Paranoid Park for a while and now a trailer can be viewed online. The film follows a skateboarding teen in Portland who visits ‘Paranoid Park’ (aka Burnside) and gets wrapped up in the death of a train security guard. Yes, Burnside is featured in the trailer. Could be an interesting film if Van Sant gets it right.
