Sculpting Concrete and Leaving Landmarks
Amongst other outfits, the dynamic duo of skatepark builders Grindline and Dreamland are busy juggling numerous new projects going into the new year. Just last month Grindline was selected to construct Boston’s 40,000 square foot Charles River Skatepark located under the Leonard P. Zakim Bridge in East Cambridge. The half-transition and half-street inspired park will be the largest area of skateable concrete that the respected crew has put beneath their boots and trowels. Construction is set for spring 2008.
Out west and closer to home, Mark “Red” Scott and a tenacious division of his Dreamland squad has been making an solid effort to bridge the gap between Lincoln City one and two with a lightning fast snakerun. Skate and Annoy broke this news a week ago and Earth Patrol Media has additional photos of the progress. Speed is all you need.

Jason Jessee Speaks About Pray For Me
We were sent a link to this interesting piece of film featuring Jason Jessee talking more than a bit of trash about his recent bio film, Pray For Me. Now, we’re not taking sides on this one. We just dig Jason Jessee and thought this was an interesting watch. Or forget all the craziness and focus on the board and the bikes.

History Lesson #22 - Bowling for Dollars
Do the names Peter Gifford, Dave Andrecht, Jay Smith, Rick Blackhart, Frank Blood, Chris Strople, Wally Inouye, Dennis Agnew, Tim Marting, or Ray “Bones” Rodrgiuez mean anything to you? Perhaps not.
Turn up the Nugent and Zeppelin (punk hadn’t emerged yet) and have a peek into the first stop of the Hester Series at Winchester Skatepark’s legendary keyhole. The date was April 21, 1979 and the skatepark collapse was just a season or two away.

Bam Working To Open Theater / Bar
According to links over at haveboard, Bam is having a rough time with his latest idea: opening a movie theater in downtown West Chester that serves liquor. He recent attended a Borough of West Chester Council meeting as they are trying to block him from getting a liquor license. Our favorite quote? “It’s not going to be like Jackass: The Bar”. Good luck Bam, it seems you’re going to need it.
