Emerica Design A Tee Contest
Yup, it’s back for the eighth time. Go to the Emerica site, download a shirt template and give Emerica the best shirt graphic ever. If your design gets picked it will show up in a future apparel line and most likely on the backs of skaters everywhere. Pretty cool. Now think creative and get cracking.

One Goes Pro, Two Others Get Clothed
This past Wednesday, Shuriken Shannon entered the professional ranks armed with a well-deserved signature deck at Black Label. Not without functional threads for too long, Danny Garcia has joined up with the reconditioned and impressive skate program at Quiksilver. Over where function, style and the love for art and skateboarding is held in high regard, Nestor Judkins has been welcomed to the RVCA team.

Mild Riders Reach End of the Line
Back home after their adventurous “Mild Ride” along the California coast last week, the RVCA skate team has simmered down to relax and reflect on their good times on the road. Have a look at their Mild Ride blogness right here.

Skateboarding Rolls Out of the Suburbs
This New York Times piece reports on what most of us already know…that skateboarding isn’t just popular with white kids in the suburbs. They name drop Ray Barbee, Kareem Campbell, Harold Hunter and grab some quotes from Stevie Williams. Of course ‘Skateboard P’ (aka Pharrell Williams) is given way too much credit and that damn ‘Kick Push’ is mentioned. Out favorite quote is from NYC street king Jefferson Pang…
“UNSURPRISINGLY, some first-time skaters drawn into the sport by catchy choruses or candy-colored sneakers are dismissed as poseurs. “You’ll see kids that are dressed up like Mars Blackman, wearing Cazals and a cycling cap and tight denim, and they’re walking around with a skateboard as an accessory, holding it in a way we call “the mall grab”.

Two Aarons Become Dads
Birth announcements seem to be on the rise this time of year and the past week was no exception. The Girl Camp’s media magnate and Crailtap webslinger Aaron Meza and his wife Diana announced the birth of their yet to be named son who arrived on the morning of November 12th, 2007.
Just a few days earlier, Aaron Suski and his gal have become proud parents to a baby girl. Sophia Annabella Suski was born on Friday, November 9, 2007, in Tucson, Arizona. Congratulations!

Behind the Scenes of Fully Flared
TWS has obtained a solid piece of information behind Lakai’s long overdue and highly anticipated video” Fully Flared” which premiers this Friday. TWS editor Carlton Curtis had the opportunity to pull its ace lensman TY Evans away from the cameras and editing duties for an in-depth Q & A. There’s obviously a lot more time, patience and variables involved with skate videos and film making in recent years, and with the quality and goodness of Fully Flared the bar will certainly be raised.

Burnquist Discovers a New Path
Perhaps you’ve already seen his televised and personal shredding on all levels while laced up their boots over the summer, but today Bob Burnquist has officially inked and linked himself over to the newly restructured team at IPath.
