Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground Intro
As the skate video game wars heat up, this intro for Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground was recently posted online. It lays out the three stages of the game and highlights the animation rather than the individual skaters featured in the game. If you keep your eyes peeled you can catch our own BK in animated form taking photos and sporting a SKATEDAILY.net shirt.

Fourteen Sponsors Deep
With today’s mainstream popularity and acceptance of skateboarding in North America, it’s many parents’ dream that their kid will gain enough recognition and sponsorships to rise up as the next “big thing” in skateboarding. Well, Michael Puehse has gone beyond the dreaming scenario with his nine-year old twin sons Nic and Tristan. Marketing and building their reputation on You Tube, coaching the preteens regularly with a play book of tricks at the local skatepark and garnering a few appearances on daytime talk shows, the years of hard work could soon pay off for pops.

A Race to the Emergency Room
Perhaps one of the better skateboard related skits filmed since Spike’s work in “Yeah Right”, EA’s in-game intro video for its new video game, “Skate” is quite a memorable eye pleaser. The whirlwind of cinematic brilliance begins with a simple frontside boardslide and races forward with short cameo appearances and stop action depicting some of the game’s characters including Jason Dill, P-Rod, Danny Way, Ryan Gallant, Pat Duffy, Chris Haslam, Alex Chalmers, Ryan Smith, Dennis Busenitz, Rob Dyrdek, Mick Carroll, Mark Gonzales and more. View the high res piece right here… it’s certainly worth the wait and one for skateboarding’s history books.

Rigging it Big Out in Orlando
Volcom and SPoTlight Productions are rigging up a big pro mini-ramp gig at the Surf Expo this weekend in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center.
The schedule includes two separate pro and am contests on an 80 foot wide mini-ramp with multiple heights constructed by master ramp craftsman Tim Payne and his skillful crew better known as Team Pain.
There is a total purse of $35,000 up for grabs with ten big ones going to the top pro.
As the organizers of Surf Expo have recently issued the following message, “We have pretty much eliminated all guests coming to the show. We are getting stricter with our policies. No shop kids, no team riders, and no persons under the age of 21.” your best bet is to watch the event live via webcast at Volcom.com.
Check the event schedule and additional details over at the SPoT site.
