Tales of Skating in the Big City
The two dudes that have produced important, raw and meaningful skate films like Tobaccoland, Fruit of the Vine, Northwest, and Tent City amongst others, are putting in a few last licks on their forthcoming release, The New York Skate Movie (Working Title).
For the past year or more, Buddy Nichols and Rick Charnoski have been hitting the dirty streets and diggin’ deep to gather solid interviews, old photos, 8 and 16mm film archives, and material never seen before from many of “The Big City’s” past, present and lifelong resident skateboarders. This telling documentary film is certainly one of importance and scope no matter what generation of skateboarding you feel most attached to.
So get set and get ready…it’s coming to your town sooner than you think.
Release Date: Spring ‘07 with an international premier tour.
