Cliché Celebrates Ten Years

Cliché has posted a video documenting their 10 year celebration. Friends, a black mini-ramp and old Metallica. Looks like it was one hell of a party.

From the looks of their 10 year site, Cliché is also releasing a group of ‘X Year’ specific products including a DVD set, boards, apparel and limited Nike SB shoe. Collectors will obviously take note.

Thunder Video, DLX Catalog Content

Here’s a quick link to a solid Thunder Trucks video/commerical just posted over at Deluxe. Features the talents of Thomas, Cole, Hufnagel, Torres, Busenitz, Kennedy, Eldridge and many others.

And while we normally don’t recommend browsing a product catalog, we’ll make an exception in this case. Click on the large Spring 07 catalog banner at the top of the page and watch for animated black and yellow ‘call outs’. There are some interweb gems hidden across all the pages that are worth exploring. Very clever idea…

Latest From SKATE, Jerry Hsu

An XBOX website has just posted a high resolution image of a digital Jerry Hsu from the upcoming EA SKATE video game. Pretty dead on.

Also posted is a short a video of Jerry explaining his take on skateboarding. Pretty impressive for a video game company. But be warned, it’s a hefty download.

Flip and former Firm filmer, Kurt Hiyashi has moved on up in the digital environs and has recently launched his new website. The clean design and navigation of this site is good on the eyes. Have a look and spend some time viewing the photo and video galleries.

Appleyard’s boat slam is certainly worth a few good laughs.

Legendary SF Skate Spot Later’d?

As a testament to the fact that skate spots are never forever, it looks like San Francisco’s renowned “Three Up, Thee Down” in the Mission district is soon to become a spot for the skate history books. Recently, the 200,000-square-foot ex National Guard armory was purchased by a web-based porn production company to house its film sets and dungeons for BDSM games.

“Three Up, Three Down” kind of already sounds like the reference to a kinky film doesn’t it?
