Skateboarding…Much Easier Than Badminton And Handball

Here’s a good one…ask a panel of “experts” what the toughest sports are and then rank them by what “demands the most from the athletes who compete in it”.

Skateboarding comes in at number 37 topped by Badminton, Handball, Volleyball and Field Hockey among others. We’re speechless on this one. I suppose we should be thankful that we weren’t below bowling, table tennis and yes, roller skating but COME ON. Some experts. Let’s get those “experts” on skateboards and see how they do. Chances are they’ll be able to get a shuttlecock over a net before landing an ollie. Try dropping in.

And remember this is the channel that brings us the X-Games…so they really know their extreme sports.

KR3W’s Urban Crossover Success

According to the Chicago Tribune Santa Ana’s KR3W apparel is “just hotter than a pistol, that’s all”. It seems that the brand is the “hottest surf wear line” because of it’s relation to skateboarders.

They do mention that not everyone is into pants that fit tight so you can “see your board better” and mentions Andrew Reynolds leaving to form the Altamont brand.

Regardless of your pant size preference, it’s amusing to see large publications printing these stories and the larger companies working hard to understand how skating can lead fashion trends.
