Dew Tour Announces 2010 Schedule

The Dew Tour has announced its complete schedule for the 2010 season. The 2010 circuit will return to Boston and Chicago for single-sport competitions and to Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City for multi-sport events. Highlighting the 2010 schedule is the addition of new host city Las Vegas, where the final stop of the season – the Dew Tour Championships – will be held in conjunction with the year-end awards ceremony.

“I’m excited that the Dew Tour is going to be in Las Vegas this year. I love Vegas, so to be able to compete there seems almost surreal,” said three-time Dew Cup champion, Ryan Sheckler. “The talent on the Dew Tour is going to be amazing this year, so I’m just looking forward to the season and the level of skateboarding that we’ll bring to fans.”

Sad news from the World Industries camp. Team rider, Mike Franklin was involved in a serious motorcycle accident yesterday near his hometown of Santa Clarita, CA. He’s been in and out of surgeries since the accident and is now in the ICU. If you’re near Santa Clarita tonight Push Skate Shop is having a Skate Jam and Prayer Circle for him at 7:30 at the Santa Clarita Valley Skatepark. Since the first day of 2010, Portland’s skate vet Mark Conahan stepped up and committed to illustrating his skate comics every day. Currently, he posts half of them to his site, Anti Gravity Press.com where regular visitors can see 15 of these satirical and humorous comics for free every thirty or so days. But MC has now created an All Access area where subscribers will have access to an extra 15 of his creations each month for close to two bucks.
