Habitat Skateboards Debuts New Footwear Line

Marking its 10-year anniversary as a respected and highly influential skateboarding brand, Habitat Skateboards has officially announced the initial launch of its skateboard footwear line today. Since its inception, Habitat has been committed to pure skateboarding, timeless design and inspiration from the natural world.
Consisting of six models, the Habitat Footwear line utilizes the core components of comfort, weight and durability also infuses Habitat’s signature design principles – branded colorways, visual balance, and attention to detail.
Representing the next generation in the ever-evolving Habitat brand, amateur skateboarders, Guru Khalsa, Marius Syvanen, Austyn Gillette, and Alex Davis have stepped up to be the faces behind the footwear line.
Habitat Footwear is due to arrive in stores in February 2010.

    H-Street Revival

Perhaps to follow in the successful footsteps of Plan B and Creature, the long defunct and inspirational skateboard brand H Street Skateboards is back from the dead. The team pages reveal that Ron Allen, Eddie Elguera, Art Godoy, David Hackett and Allysha Bergado are the team riders backing the effort out of the gate.
From the press release that we’d received, here are the operational details: Tony Magnusson along with Legend Distribution (the home of G&S Skateboards) have teamed up to include Dave “Fats” McIntyre as Brand Manager, with Myke Reyes on board to handle Sales and Marketing (for San Diego County and select accounts) and Tony’s son Cheyne Magnusson will assume the role of Field Commander. Is that a TM role?
Anyhow, look for more developments to come out of this newly resurrected brand in the coming months.
