    Back To School Drool

As we begin posting events scheduled for September, it becomes apparent that we are turning the corner on another summer. For some skaters, that means more than just the sun setting on their sessions earlier in the day, it means back to school. No three words signify the end of something as great as two and a half months of vacation like “Back To School”. VANS Skateparks will try to make this transition a little easier by putting up $800 in prizes to the winners of each of their September Shred Street Contests on Saturday, September 19th at the parks in Orange, CA and Orlando, FL. Check out the VANS events page for more details.

    Lessons From The Tour Van

One great thing about being on tour is getting to see and experience new places, skate spots and cultures. But the real fun doesn’t begin until the first guy falls asleep. Check out this clip from the éS site and see why Josh Matthews may be a bit wary of napping in the tour van in the future.

Chili Bowl V Cookoff Experiences a Blowout

By all accounts, Toad and Salmon’s 5th annual Chili Bowl Cook Off blew the roof off of San Francisco’s Potrero del Sol Skatepark yesterday afternoon with some spicy recipes and a good look at the emerging new generation of all-terrain rippers. Vying for a piece of the action in the Men’s Open finals, 7 qualifying heats of hungry bowl busters mixed it up in front a throng of over 600+ lurkers who came out to experience the madness and endure SF’s simmering summer weather. Only the strong survived and the rest was history.

    Back to School

During his enrollment at UCSD Walker Ryan once ollied this gap while hustling forward to a late class.
Back at it, he re-ups his tardy moment with this lofty frontside shove.
