Maloof Money Cup Releases Wild Card Poll

The people behind the Maloof Money Cup have selected their Top 36 list of street skaters to be invited to compete this summer. They’ve got room for 12 additional skaters and now is your chance to submit your personal favorite from the Wildcard list. Make it count. Voting will close on May 12th.
Mariano’s Dirty Jesus Feet Revealed

Epicly Later’d drops episode 8 with Guy Mariano where he reminisces of the dark days on the streets of downtown LA while hooked on drugs and the party life. Thankfully the support of his friends, his skateboarding talents and grimy Jesus feet eventually pulled him away from that downward spiral.

Thanks to the help of Vans and California Skateparks, Bucky Lasek is soon to become the latest professional skater to drop a sizeable skate facility in his backyard. Just in time for BBQ season.
2009 Pro-tec Pool Party

Just announced, the 2009 Pro-tec Pool Party is happening on May 16th at Vans Skatepark at The Block in Orange, CA. This contest always blows minds with expected skaters to include Rune Glifberg (05, 07, 08 Winner), Omar Hassan (06 Winner), Bucky Lasek, Bob Burnquist, Benji Galloway, Chris Miller (05-08 Masters Winner), Steve Caballero, Tony Mag and many more.
Plus, the event will be streaming live via Fuel TV at vans.com/poolparty. If you can’t be there in person, log in and watch the virtual action. Details can be found here.

Business as usual at Skateboarder Magazine

There’s been a lot of skate gossip and message board rumors that Skateboarder Magazine was going out of business. Jaime Owens editor of Skateboarder Magazine has this to say in defense of the publication:
“We’re still in business. Our parent company, Source Interlink, has
restructured its existing debt and privatized the company today but it’s
business as usual for the entire company and Skateboarder is not going
anywhere.” – Jaime Owens, Editor
UPDATE: Source Interlink did, in fact, file for bankruptcy today.
Nike SB Euro Team in Italy
