For the 100 lucky skate shops who entered DVS’ first ever skate shop video contest, the stakes just got raised. The Skateboard Mag has joined on as the contest’s media partner and will sweeten the pot for the participating retailers.
“Shopliftin is for the retailers and skateboarders that love skateboarding, says Podium Distribution VP Tim Gavin. “I enjoy watching good skateboarding and I know there are a ton of good skateboarders out there and now they have an opportunity to showcase it. Partnering up with The Skateboard Mag just legitimizes the whole project!”
Under the new partnership, The Skateboard Mag will provide editorial coverage of the winning shop in print and online. In addition to receiving a custom SMU shoe from DVS and a special DVS demo, the winning shop will also receive a full spread ad in The Skateboard Mag as part of the winnings.
“The skaters who rep the core shops are the future pros,” says The Skateboard Mag’s Editorial Director Dave Swift. “Teaming up with DVS and the shops on Shopliftin’ is something we were destined to do!”
