Far from Freedumb and not getting any younger, Dan Drehobl has been told to clean up his act and is now buttoned up to join Kenny Anderson and Anthony Poppalardo with signature collections over at Elwood clothing. Breaking the vicious cycle and recollecting himself in Las Vegas, it has been said that Anthony “Ragdoll” Scalamere has re-emerged to earn another chance with a spot on Crimson skateboards’ roster. Although not publicly announced on its new site, I Path’s originator Matt Field and his cohort Bigfoot have both been let go from the environmentally sustainable footwear and apparel brand.

Skater Shot And Killed At Local Park

In a tragic turn of events skater Mike Reed was shot and killed last Wednesday as he tried to stop a robbery at his local park in Fontana, California. Read the full article here. Mike could have been any of of us as he cared greatly about his local scene and fellow skaters. He will be missed by many.

Lee Matasi Trial Begins

This past week the trial of a man accused of killing a well-known Vancouver skateboarder began in B.C. Supreme Court on Monday. Dennis Robert White, 30, is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Matasi, 23, outside a downtown Vancouver nightclub on Dec. 3, 2005. Check out the full article here. Let’s all hope for justice in this terrible tragedy.
