The Skate Fairy site has just posted the trailer (19.5mb) for the first Lakai Footwear video production, Fully Flared. It features the skills of Marc Johnson, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Scott Johnston, Brandon Biebel, Jeff Lenoce, Cairo Foster, Danny Garcia, Anthony Pappalardo, Rob Welsh, Guy Mariano and many others. It looks to be a skateboarding epic.

Last weekend’s 4th Annual King of the Groms contest at Minneapolis’ 3rd Lair skatepark generated a talented convergence of groms from disparate parts of America. The next generation is rising fast with sponsorship in their sights. TMs…remember these names…one of them could be the next Koston or Cole for all we know.

Tampa Pro 2006 is Sooner Than You Think

Presented by DVS and Split in association with SPoTlight Productions, this year’s annual Tampa Pro event is gettting ready to roll March 9th – 12th. There’s alot of hype at the moment and to make things more interesting, former Street event winners from years past have been offered a spot straight to Sunday’s Semi-Finals. The list of former Tampa Pro winners inlcudes: Mike Vallely, Gershon Mosley, Andrew Reynolds, Kerry Getz, Kyle Berard, Tony Trujillo, Eric Koston, Bastien Salabanzi, and Dennis Busenitz.
Also, there will be a first-ever Vert Game of Skate contest for added excitement.

Rumors and Rousing Rants

Does anybody have a clue as to the status of the bombastic skate gossip site that hides behind the “Strong as Fuck” motto? Apparently, the highly contentious site has been flatlined for weeks, but new message boards are up. Will the skateboard industry ever be the same? Are Nate Sherwood and Danny Way are somehow connected to this situation? Don’t hold your breath.
