DuFFS has announced that it has hired Russ Pope as Vice President of Marketing.
“Russ Pope has worked in the skateboard industry for 16 years. He has literally done every conceivable job in the industry and we feel this breadth of knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to build the DuFFS brand,” said Norman Cook, CEO of DuFFS. “The recent addition of LINK as our advertising agency of record and Russ Pope as our vice president of marketing represents a new and exciting chapter for DuFFS.”
“I am looking forward to continuing to build on current marketing momentum with DuFFS,” said Pope. “This brand has always had something unique to say. I know that helping them say it will be challenging and rewarding.”
Skateboarding has been a driving force in Russ Pope’s life since childhood. He has been a team rider, designed board art, managed teams, directed grassroots marketing, developed product and even owned his own skate company. He has worked for brands such as Savier, CCS and NHS as well as owning and running Scarecrow Skateboards. Prior to joining DuFFS, Pope served as the director of operations for Black Label Skateboards. Pope will work in DuFFS’ Oceanside, California, office.
